Agazit Negash is an author and artist whose work explores themes of displacement, caregiving, and resilience shaped by personal and family experiences of migration and loss. Her background reflects connections to Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, and the United States, influencing her perspective on identity and cultural transition. After the loss of her parents, she assumed responsibility for supporting her autistic brother, an experience that informs her writing. Her work focuses on caregivers, neurodivergent individuals, and immigrant communities. In Joyful Resilience, she presents a narrative combining memory and reflection to document lived experiences of endurance, responsibility, and adaptation across changing life circumstances.
