The Frigidaire 137539200 Thermal Fuse protects a compatible dryer from excessive heat by interrupting electrical power when temperatures rise beyond a safe limit. This replacement fuse is installed within the dryer’s electrical circuit and contains a heat-sensitive element designed to open the circuit when exposed to excessive temperature. Once the fuse activates, power to the designated circuit is cut off, preventing continued heating. A blown thermal fuse may cause the dryer to stop heating or prevent the appliance from starting, depending on the model. Replacing the fuse restores the intended electrical connection. Designed for select Frigidaire dryer models, this component provides essential thermal protection and supports safe, consistent dryer function during regular laundry use.
