The Frigidaire 216730700 defrost heater restores proper frost removal for consistent cooling and unrestricted airflow. This replacement component is designed to melt frost that naturally accumulates on the evaporator coils during the refrigerator's defrost cycle. It works by producing controlled heat at scheduled intervals, preventing excessive ice buildup that can block airflow and reduce cooling efficiency. Replacing a faulty defrost heater can correct frost-related cooling problems, improve temperature consistency, and support efficient refrigerator performance. Designed for compatibility with select refrigerator models, this part provides a practical solution for maintaining dependable cooling and proper air circulation.
