The Frigidaire 242278801 Thermistor Assembly monitors refrigerator temperature and provides accurate readings to the control system for proper cooling adjustment. This component detects temperature changes and sends corresponding signals, allowing the refrigerator to regulate cooling as needed. A functioning thermistor supports consistent internal temperatures, reliable food storage conditions, and efficient temperature control. It is a practical replacement for a faulty or damaged thermistor that may cause temperature fluctuations, improper cooling, or inaccurate temperature sensing.
