The Frigidaire 318394803 Door Switch detects oven door position and controls connected functions on compatible ranges. This replacement switch is mounted near the oven door and responds to the door’s movement by opening or closing an electrical circuit. Depending on the range configuration, the switch can control the oven light or signal the control system when the door is opened or closed. A faulty switch may cause the light or related door functions to respond incorrectly. Replacing a damaged switch restores proper door-position sensing and consistent control of connected functions. Designed for select Frigidaire range models, this component provides a practical replacement for a worn switch and supports reliable door-related functions during everyday cooking.
