The Frigidaire 808136601 door light switch helps control the oven light when the range door is opened or closed. Installed within the door-switch circuit, this component responds to the position of the oven door by completing or interrupting the electrical connection that controls the interior light. When functioning properly, it allows the oven cavity to be illuminated when needed and helps prevent the light from remaining on unnecessarily when the door is closed. Replacing a faulty, worn, or damaged switch can restore normal light operation and improve convenience when checking food inside the oven. This replacement switch is designed for select range models and should be checked for compatibility before installation to ensure proper fit and operation.
