The General Electric WB15X20988 Microwave Door Handle-Black allows controlled opening and closing of the microwave door during regular operation. This replacement handle is a structural part designed to transfer pulling force from the user’s hand to the door latch system. It works by attaching to the exterior of the door and aligning with internal mounting points, enabling smooth movement without stressing the door frame. Installed on the front of the appliance, the handle integrates with the door assembly and latch components to maintain proper door operation. Correct installation supports consistent door movement, proper closure, and dependable interaction with the microwave’s safety and control systems during use.
