The General Electric WD28X265 Dishwasher Silverware Basket is used to organize and securely hold silverware during the dishwasher cleaning cycle. This basket fits into the dishwasher rack and provides separate openings for placing forks, spoons, knives, and other small utensils, allowing water and detergent to reach the items during washing. Its structured design keeps utensils contained and separated while the spray arms operate, supporting thorough cleaning and convenient unloading. A cracked, damaged, or missing basket may allow utensils to move around the rack or interfere with proper loading.
