The General Electric WE17X23463 Dryer Motor and Kit provides the rotational power required to operate the dryer drum and support the drying cycle. The motor converts electrical energy into mechanical motion, driving the drum through the connected drive components to tumble clothes during operation. Installed within the dryer cabinet, the assembly works with the drive system to maintain drum movement throughout the selected cycle. Proper motor operation supports consistent tumbling and helps distribute clothes as heated air circulates through the drum. Replacing a damaged motor assembly can restore drum rotation and support normal dryer operation. Before installation, verify compatibility with the appliance model to ensure proper fit and connection.
