The General Electric WE18X20428 Dryer Lint Screen Assembly captures lint and fabric fibers from the air moving through the dryer during operation. Positioned in the designated lint filter compartment, this component allows airflow to pass through while collecting lint before it accumulates in other areas of the appliance. Regular cleaning of the screen supports proper airflow and drying performance while helping reduce lint buildup inside the dryer. Replacing a damaged or missing screen can restore proper lint collection and support normal dryer operation. This assembly is designed for compatible dryer models, and the appliance model number should be checked before installation to ensure proper fit and compatibility.
