The General Electric WH08X32017 Washer Door Gasket creates a reliable seal between the washer door and tub to help prevent water leaks during operation. This replacement gasket is installed around the front opening of compatible front-load washers, where it forms a flexible barrier that accommodates drum movement throughout the wash and spin cycles. It operates by maintaining a secure seal while allowing the door to close correctly, reducing the possibility of water escaping from the tub. Proper installation ensures compatibility with the door assembly and surrounding components. By supporting efficient water containment and consistent washer operation, this gasket assists in maintaining proper washing conditions and reducing moisture leakage during typical use.
