The General Electric WH44X24385 Washer Large Lid White, a replacement part designed to cover and secure the wash tub during use. This lid closes over the opening to help contain water and laundry while engaging the lid switch or lock mechanism required for the washer to operate. By allowing the appliance to detect that the lid is properly closed, it supports normal cycle start and continuation. Replacing a damaged or misaligned lid can help resolve issues such as failure to start, water splashing, or improper closing. The benefit is improved safety, dependable operation, and a clean, finished appearance for the washer.
