The General Electric WR49X40248 Refrigerator Evaporator Cover and Fan used circulate cold air throughout the refrigerator compartment for consistent cooling. This replacement assembly combines an evaporator cover with an integrated fan and is designed for compatible GE refrigerator models. It works by directing airflow across the evaporator area and circulating cooled air through the refrigerator, used to distribute temperature more evenly around stored food. The cover also used protect and organize the evaporator and fan components within the cooling system. A properly functioning assembly supports effective airflow and temperature control. Replacing a damaged, cracked, noisy, or malfunctioning assembly can used restore air circulation, improve cooling consistency, reduce airflow issues, protect internal components, and support reliable everyday refrigerator performance.
