The LG AKN73029001 Refrigerator Filter Head Assembly connects the compatible water filter to the refrigerator’s water supply system for proper filtration and water flow. This assembly provides the mounting and connection point for the filter, directing incoming water through the installed filter before it reaches the dispenser or ice maker. Proper installation supports a secure filter connection and consistent water delivery during normal refrigerator operation. A cracked, leaking, damaged, or worn filter head can cause water-flow or connection problems. Replacing the assembly can restore proper filter installation, reduce leakage concerns, and maintain reliable water and ice dispensing performance.
