The LG MDS66290819 Washer Door Gasket creates a secure seal between the washer door and tub to help prevent water from escaping during wash cycles. Designed for compatible front-load washers, this gasket fits around the door opening and forms a flexible barrier when the door is closed. Its sealed fit supports proper water retention while helping keep moisture inside the tub during operation. The gasket also assists in protecting the surrounding door and cabinet areas from water exposure. Replacing a damaged gasket can restore proper sealing, reduce water leakage, and support consistent washer operation. It is used as a direct replacement for the original door gasket when the existing part shows damage or no longer provides a proper seal.
