The Samsung DA97-07603F Ice Maker Mech Assembly produces ice within the freezer compartment and supports the refrigerator’s automatic ice-making system. It operates through an internal mechanism that fills the ice mold with water, freezes it, and releases the formed cubes into the storage bin when the cycle is complete. The assembly is installed inside the freezer and connects with the refrigerator’s water supply and electrical system for proper operation. As a replacement part, it restores the ice maker’s ability to complete regular ice-making cycles when the existing mechanism is damaged or no longer operating correctly. Proper installation supports consistent ice production and maintains the intended function of the freezer’s ice-making system.
