CARDA’s School Drone & Robotics Club is a term-long programme conducted directly inside partner schools in Coimbatore. CARDA provides the curriculum, drones, lab equipment and trained in-house instructors, so schools do not need any existing infrastructure to start a Drone & Robotics Club. The programme is divided into three terms. Term 1 focuses on the basics of flight, drone structure and simple assembly. Term 2 covers programming basics and planning autonomous missions. Term 3 challenges students to design, build and present a drone solution for a real-world problem. The programme concludes with an end-of-year showcase. It follows the NEP 2020 guidelines for hands-on STEM learning, helping schools attract students and prepare them for competitions such as WSRO, ATL Marathons, Robotica and ISRO’s IRoC-U. Principals and STEM coordinators can partner with CARDA to bring aerospace education to their schools.
