Studio Suvira brings together a varied ceramic practice featuring sculpture, installations, functional ceramics, tea ware, ceramic landscapes, and botanicals. Handmade cups, bowls, plates, and serving pieces reflect the practical possibilities of clay, while tea vessels connect the work with tea ceremony and daily rituals. Sculptural and installation pieces explore form and space, and ceramic landscapes focus on the textures and structures found in nature. Wood firing is another important part of the practice, giving ceramics distinctive surfaces and character. Wood-fire workshops invite participants to engage with the process behind wood-fired ceramics.
