The Toro 125-8371 Lawn Mower Cable Brake is a control component designed to operate the braking system in compatible walk-behind lawn mowers. It functions by transmitting movement from the operator control handle to the internal brake mechanism through a flexible cable. When the handle is engaged, the cable pulls the brake linkage to allow blade and engine operation, and when released, it activates the brake to stop movement. This direct mechanical connection maintains consistent control and responsive stopping action during mowing. Manufactured for proper fit with specified Toro mower models, it maintains accurate cable routing and tension, and its simple design allows straightforward installation or replacement during routine maintenance.
