The Whirlpool 9872040W Trash Compactor Drawer Handle provides a secure grip for opening and closing the compactor drawer. Designed to attach to the front of the drawer, this component allows users to pull the drawer outward for loading waste and push it back into position after use. It supports regular access to the compactor compartment and assists with smooth drawer operation during daily household tasks. Installed on the drawer’s exterior, the handle also provides a practical gripping surface for manual operation. Replacing a damaged or loose handle can restore proper drawer access and improve ease of use. Before installation, verify compatibility with the specific trash compactor model to ensure proper fit and attachment.
