The Whirlpool W10648041 Water Inlet Valve controls water entering the dishwasher, supporting proper filling during wash cycles. This replacement valve connects to the household water supply and opens when the dishwasher requires water, allowing a controlled flow into the tub. It closes when the required water level is reached, stopping further water entry. A worn or faulty valve may cause low water levels, overfilling, or continuous water flow. Replacing the valve can restore controlled water delivery and consistent filling.
