The Whirlpool W10691698 Main Cooktop provides the primary surface for supporting cookware during range operation. Designed for compatible range models, this replacement cooktop forms the upper cooking surface where pots and pans are positioned over the designated heating elements or burners. It provides a stable area for everyday cooking while covering and protecting the components beneath the surface. A damaged, cracked, or heavily worn cooktop can affect usability and the overall appearance of the range. Replacing the cooktop restores the intended cooking surface and provides a suitable fit for compatible models. This practical replacement supports stable cookware placement, maintains the range’s original layout, and keeps the appliance suitable for regular cooking use.
