Whirlpool W10810403 Lid Lock Assembly secures the washer lid during operation for proper and controlled cycle performance. This replacement assembly engages with the washer lid and works with the appliance’s control system to keep the lid securely closed during appropriate wash and spin cycles. Proper locking helps prevent the lid from opening when the washer is operating and allows the cycle to proceed as designed. A worn or faulty lid lock may prevent the washer from starting, cause cycle interruptions, or fail to secure the lid correctly. Replacing the damaged assembly can restore proper locking function and reliable operation. Designed for compatible washer models, this practical component supports secure lid closure and consistent everyday washing performance.
