The Whirlpool W10821146 Water Inlet Valve controls the flow of water into compatible washing machines for proper filling during wash cycles. This replacement valve connects to the washer’s water supply and opens or closes according to signals from the control system, allowing the required amount of water to enter the tub. Proper valve operation supports accurate water levels and consistent cycle performance while preventing continuous or insufficient filling. A worn or faulty valve may cause slow filling, overfilling, underfilling, or water flow issues. Replacing the damaged valve can restore normal water intake and maintain reliable washer operation.
