The Whirlpool W10838949 Rack Adjuster provides smooth and stable movement for positioning the dishwasher rack at the desired height. This replacement component attaches to the rack assembly and works with the rack rails or wheel system to support raising, lowering, and sliding the rack during loading and unloading. Proper adjustment allows users to create suitable space for dishes, glasses, and cookware of different sizes. A worn or damaged rack adjuster may cause the rack to sit unevenly, become difficult to move, or fail to remain at the selected position. Replacing the faulty component can restore proper rack movement and positioning. Designed for compatible dishwasher models, this practical part supports convenient loading, flexible storage, and reliable everyday dishwasher use.
