The Whirlpool W10839843 Thermostat regulates refrigerator temperature for consistent cooling and food storage. This replacement thermostat monitors the temperature inside the refrigerator and responds to changes by controlling the cooling system as needed. When the temperature rises above the selected range, the thermostat signals the cooling system to operate, and it cycles off when the desired temperature is reached. A worn or faulty thermostat may cause temperature fluctuations, excessive cooling, insufficient cooling, or irregular compressor cycling. Replacing a damaged thermostat can restore proper temperature control and maintain stable refrigerator operation. Designed for compatible models, this practical component supports accurate cooling regulation, consistent internal temperatures, and reliable everyday refrigerator performance.
