The Whirlpool W10846428 Timer controls the duration and sequence of drying cycles for consistent dryer operation. This replacement timer works with the dryer’s control system to manage when specific functions, such as heating, tumbling, and cooling, operate during a selected cycle. As the timer advances through its programmed settings, it switches electrical circuits on or off at the appropriate intervals. A worn or faulty timer may cause cycles to stop prematurely, run too long, fail to advance, or operate incorrectly. Replacing the damaged timer can restore proper cycle timing and function. Designed for compatible dryer models, this practical component supports accurate cycle control, dependable operation, and consistent drying performance during everyday laundry use.
