The Whirlpool W10846539 Evaporator Fan Motor circulates cold air through the refrigerator and freezer for consistent temperature control. This replacement motor powers the evaporator fan, moving cooled air from the evaporator throughout the compartments. Proper airflow supports even temperature distribution and efficient cooling. A worn or defective motor may cause weak airflow, unusual noise, temperature fluctuations, or insufficient cooling. Replacing the motor can restore proper fan movement and cold-air circulation without replacing the complete fan assembly.
