The Whirlpool W10853432 Orifice Spud controls the flow of gas to the range burner for proper flame operation. This replacement component is a small fitting installed in the burner gas supply system, where its precisely sized opening meters the amount of gas delivered to the burner. Proper gas flow supports an appropriate flame size and consistent burner performance during cooking. A damaged, clogged, or incorrect orifice spud may cause weak flames, excessive gas flow, uneven heating, or ignition issues. Replacing the worn component with the correct part can restore proper gas metering and burner operation. Designed for compatible range models, this practical replacement supports consistent cooking performance, controlled gas delivery, and reliable everyday use.
