The Whirlpool W10856574 Evaporator Heat Probe monitors temperature near the evaporator to support proper refrigerator cooling and defrost control. Positioned within the evaporator assembly, this replacement probe detects temperature changes and sends readings to the refrigerator’s control system. These temperature signals assist the control system in managing cooling and defrost functions according to the detected conditions. A properly functioning probe can support consistent temperature regulation and reduce issues associated with incorrect temperature sensing.
