The Whirlpool W11050447 Trash Compactor Insert is used to provide a designated surface or component within the trash compactor for proper waste handling and operation. This insert fits into the specified area of the compactor and works with the surrounding components during the compacting cycle, supporting the correct positioning and movement of waste materials. Properly installed, it maintains the intended internal arrangement and allows the compactor to operate as designed. A cracked, damaged, or missing insert may affect the fit of related components or the overall operation of the appliance. Replacing the insert can restore proper positioning and functionality.
