The Whirlpool W11206157 Microwave Door Assembly provides a secure closure that allows the microwave system to operate safely and consistently. This assembly includes the door frame, window, and latch components that work together to create a proper seal when the door is closed. It operates by engaging the latch switches, which enable power flow to the internal controls and heating system only when the door is correctly positioned. Installed on the front of the appliance, the assembly integrates with the hinge and latch mechanism to support controlled operation. This part is an essential element for maintaining proper heating cycles, limiting energy loss, and supporting stable performance during microwave use.
