The Whirlpool W11614636 Washer Agitator moves clothes through the wash water for effective cleaning during the selected cycle. Installed inside the washer tub, this agitator works with the washer’s drive system to create controlled movement of clothing and water, loosening dirt and distributing detergent throughout the load. Proper agitator operation supports consistent wash action and allows the washer to perform its cleaning cycle as intended. A cracked, worn, damaged, or malfunctioning agitator may reduce washing performance. Replacing the agitator can restore proper clothing movement, improve wash action, and maintain reliable everyday washer operation. It is a practical replacement component for maintaining normal washing performance.
