The Whirlpool WP12550109Q Refrigerator Door Gasket creates a seal around the refrigerator door to help maintain consistent internal temperatures. This flexible sealing component fits along the door edges and compresses against the cabinet when the door closes, limiting the entry of warm air and the escape of cold air. It supports proper cooling operation and helps reduce unnecessary temperature fluctuations inside the refrigerator. A correctly fitted gasket also assists in limiting moisture buildup caused by air leakage. Replacing a cracked, loose, or damaged gasket can restore proper door sealing and support consistent cooling performance. This replacement part is designed for compatible refrigerator models, and the appliance model number should be checked before installation to ensure proper fit and alignment.
