The Whirlpool WP2188542 Refrigerator Dual Water Inlet Valve controls and directs water flow to the ice maker and water dispenser for accurate distribution. This component operates by opening and closing internal solenoids in response to signals from the refrigerator control system, allowing water to enter specific lines as needed. Installed at the rear of the appliance, the valve connects to the household water supply and internal tubing to regulate flow to each function independently. As part of the water delivery system, it supports consistent dispensing, reduces the risk of leaks or improper flow, and improves overall performance by maintaining controlled and reliable water management during normal refrigerator operation.
