The Whirlpool WP22001083 Washing Machine Timer controls the duration and sequence of selected washing machine cycles to support proper laundry operation. This mechanical or electromechanical component, depending on the appliance design, advances through designated cycle stages and activates the appropriate functions at the required times. It coordinates operations such as washing, rinsing, and spinning according to the selected settings. A properly functioning timer supports consistent cycle progression and convenient control of laundry programs. Replacing a faulty or worn timer can restore cycle timing and address issues such as incomplete or incorrectly timed wash cycles.
