The Whirlpool WP2315549 Evaporator Fan Motor circulates cold air through the refrigerator to help maintain consistent temperatures and keep food properly chilled. Located near the evaporator coil, this motor drives the fan that moves cooled air throughout the refrigerator and, in applicable models, the freezer compartment. Proper airflow supports even cooling and helps prevent temperature variations that can affect food storage. A faulty motor may cause unusual noise, weak airflow, or inadequate cooling inside the appliance.
