the risk of backflow into the washer during draining. This replacement component is installed in the washer’s drain pathway and allows air into the system when needed to maintain proper pressure balance. By separating the drain flow from the appliance, it supports controlled wastewater discharge and proper drainage. A worn, cracked, or damaged vacuum break may contribute to improper draining or water movement within the system. Replacing the component can restore the intended drain pathway and air circulation.
