The Whirlpool WP3387223 Moisture Sensor Electrode Bar helps the dryer detect moisture levels in clothing for more accurate cycle operation. This replacement electrode bar is positioned inside the dryer and works with the moisture-sensing system by detecting electrical conductivity through damp fabrics as they contact the sensor. The dryer uses these readings to determine when clothes have reached the selected dryness level and can adjust or end the cycle accordingly. A properly functioning sensor supports appropriate drying time and helps prevent unnecessary extended operation.
