The Whirlpool WP3392519 Thermal Fuse protects the dryer from excessive heat by interrupting electrical current when temperatures rise beyond a safe level. Installed within the dryer’s electrical circuit, this replacement fuse is designed to open the circuit when excessive heat is detected, preventing continued power to connected components. Once the fuse has opened, it must be replaced to restore the circuit. A properly functioning thermal fuse supports safe temperature control and can reduce the risk of heat-related component damage.
