The Whirlpool WP34001340 Drain Pump Motor removes used water from compatible washing machines during the drain phase of the wash cycle. This replacement component powers the drain pump, moving water from the washer tub through the drain hose into the household drainage system. Proper pump motor function supports effective water removal before the washer proceeds to subsequent cycle stages. A faulty motor may result in slow draining, standing water, or interrupted cycles. Replacing a defective motor with the specified part can restore the intended drainage function and support normal washer performance.
