The Whirlpool WP35-6780 Water Drain Pump is a washer component designed to remove used water from compatible washing machines during the drain phase. It operates by pumping water from the washer tub through the drain hose and into the household drainage system. This process allows the appliance to empty water after washing or rinsing before proceeding to the next programmed stage. A faulty drain pump may result in slow draining, retained water, or incomplete wash cycles. Replacing a defective pump with the specified component can restore the washer’s intended water removal function. This part is intended for compatible washer models requiring the corresponding drain pump.
