The Whirlpool WP3979346 Water Inlet Valve for Washer regulates the flow of water into the washing machine to support proper filling during wash cycles. This replacement component opens and closes in response to the washer’s control system, allowing the required amount of hot or cold water to enter the tub at the appropriate time. A properly functioning inlet valve helps maintain consistent water supply and supports effective washing performance.
