The Whirlpool WP74009147 Range Top Control Knob Valve regulates gas flow to the selected burner for accurate heat adjustment. This replacement valve works with the range control knob to increase or decrease gas flow, allowing the burner flame to be adjusted for different cooking needs. A properly functioning valve provides consistent burner control and supports accurate heat settings. It is suitable for replacing a worn, damaged, or faulty valve in compatible Whirlpool range models. Replacing a defective valve can restore proper flame adjustment and reliable burner control. Verify the range model and part number before purchase to ensure proper fit and compatibility.
