The Whirlpool WP8183270 Door Latch securely holds the washer door closed and maintains proper door alignment during wash cycles. This replacement latch fits into the washer door and connects with the corresponding strike or locking mechanism, keeping the door firmly closed when the washer is in use. Its secure fit supports proper door positioning and prevents the door from opening unexpectedly during a cycle. A worn, broken, or damaged latch may cause the door to remain loose, fail to close correctly, or prevent the washer from starting. Replacing the latch can restore proper door closure and secure positioning. Designed for compatible Whirlpool washers, this replacement component provides a practical solution for damaged or faulty door latches.
