The Whirlpool WP8573713 Dryer Thermal Cut Off Fuse protects the dryer against excessive heat by interrupting electrical power when temperatures exceed a set limit. This safety component helps prevent overheating-related damage to the appliance. A blown or defective fuse can cause the dryer to stop heating or produce no heat during a cycle. Replacing the faulty fuse can restore the heating function when the component is the cause of the problem. Before installation, check for restricted airflow or other overheating causes to prevent repeat failure. Verify your dryer’s model number to confirm compatibility and ensure the replacement fuse fits your appliance.
