The Whirlpool WP9759243 Thermal Fuse protects compatible ranges by interrupting electrical current when temperatures exceed its specified safety limit. This replacement component is installed in the designated circuit and opens the circuit when excessive heat triggers the fuse, preventing further current flow through that path. Once blown, the fuse must be replaced to restore the affected electrical circuit. A failed fuse may cause certain range functions to stop working. Replacing it can restore the intended circuit connection after the underlying cause of overheating has been addressed. Designed for compatible Whirlpool ranges, this thermal fuse provides an essential safeguard against excessive temperature in the designated electrical circuit.
