The Whirlpool WP9760771 Broil Element generates high heat from the top of a compatible oven cavity for broiling and browning food. This electrical heating component converts electrical energy into heat when current passes through its element, providing direct radiant heat to the food below. It supports cooking tasks such as browning toppings, melting cheese, and finishing dishes with a crisp surface. A damaged or faulty broil element may result in uneven browning or insufficient heat during broiling. Replacing a defective element can restore the oven’s intended broiling function and provide consistent heat for suitable cooking tasks. This replacement part is intended for compatible oven models requiring the specified broil element.
