The Whirlpool WPW10006355 Shift Actuator controls transmission movement, allowing the washer to switch between wash and spin cycles. This electromechanical component receives signals from the control system and moves the transmission into the required position for each cycle. A faulty actuator may cause the washer to remain in one cycle, fail to spin, produce unusual sounds, or interrupt cycle performance. Replacing a damaged actuator can restore proper transmission movement and consistent cycling. Designed for compatible Whirlpool washer models, this replacement part provides a practical solution for a defective shift actuator and supports proper washer function.
