The Whirlpool WPW10140917 water inlet valve helps regulate water flow into a compatible washing machine during each wash cycle. Installed at the washer’s water supply connection, this valve opens and closes in response to electrical signals from the control system, allowing the required amount of water to enter the tub. Proper valve operation supports consistent filling and helps the washer maintain the water level needed for selected cycles. Replacing a clogged, leaking, damaged, or malfunctioning valve can help restore normal water intake and address issues such as slow filling or failure to fill.
